a)Postdoctoral Research Position in Cosmology and Large Scale Structure in Mexico
The Mexican participation group in DESI (DESI-MX, iac.edu.mx/desimx) invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Cosmology and Large Scale Structure physics. The successful candidate will work with DESI-MX and is expected to carry out original research in science closely related to the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI, desi.lbl.gov). The candidate will be based at one of the Universities participating in DESI-MX, either in Mexico City or Leon, Guanajuato.
Salary is 30,000 Mexican pesos per month after taxes (expect to pay ~25% on housing), and there are travel expenses to attend DESI collaboration meetings abroad and local workshops/meetings. The appointment is for one year with a possible second year renewal, starting as early as January 2017.
